Daria L. Pratcher, Esq.
Daria L. Pratcher, a native of Buffalo NY, received her BA degree in the field of Social Science (Urban & Public Policy) from the State University of New York at Buffalo and earned her Juris Doctor at the University of Buffalo School of Law. Since admission to the New York Bar in 2004, Daria has distinguished herself in the real estate legal community and in the business of title insurance. She began her career as a paralegal with the law firm of Pratcher, Jackson & Cox performing residential real estate closings. Her present practice continues primarily in the area of real property law, concentrating on residential and commercial real estate closings. Daria has also served as closing counsel for a number of mortgage origination companies.
Her civic involvement includes:
- The rehabilitation of existing Buffalo property as a service of the community based organization FLARE, Inc. (Fillmore-Leroy Area Residents, Inc.), where Daria is the 3-term sitting (2008-09) President of the Board of Directors.
- Advisory Board member of Teaching and Restoring Youth (TRY), a program of FLARE, Inc. that provides a safe haven for young women at risk of homelessness and other abuses associated with homelessness.
- The CAO-UB Community Wellness and Neighborhood Development Center, a joint initiative of the Community Action Organization of Erie County (CAO) and the University at Buffalo Center for Urban Studies (UB-CENTER) where she is a member of the Advisory Board.
- Advisory Board member of Buffalo Inner City Fan Club for Golfing, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that encourages, supports and prepares youth from the inner city to pursue the sport of golf as well as providing a conduit to the many career opportunities associated with golfing.
- Investors Committed To Excellence, Inc., (ICE, Inc.), a for-profit corporation consisting of 47 equal shareholders; where the vision is the beautification of homes and being equally committed to making homeownership available to all through education, integrity, honesty and truth, as well as engaging in all types of investments to increase the financial power of its investors. ICE, Inc.'s mission, as a diversified, multi-denomination group of investors collectively committed to excellence, is to transform communities and lives.
- Former Adjunct Instructor of Real Property Law for the Paralegal Studies program at Bryant & Stratton College (Amherst Campus).
- 2008 recipient of the Women of Worth Award from the Rising Star Chapter #451 of the International F&A.M. Masons & Order of the Eastern Star.
- Member of the Bar Association of Erie County, New York State Bar Association, Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity and Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
